Daniel Wellington, a Swedish designer watch brand, recently announced that it will work with Tencent to launch a Chinese version of the PUBG (Game For Peace) joint limited edition watch.

The official name of this product is “limited camouflage watch set“, which is limited to 1000 sets. Each set includes a watch in the style of military camouflage, with an extra leather strap and an exclusive set of stickers.

From the point of view of appearance, this is a very low-key watch with a black dial and a gold or silver bezel to choose from. The standard strap is a black-gray camouflage strap, which is considered to be a game-related design element, while the complementary leather strap does not contain camouflage design elements.

Since Dec. 1, the watch has been on sale at DW online and offline stores in China for 1800 yuan ($275.23). It will be sold only in China, and it is unclear whether DW will launch a similar partnership with PUBG globally in the future.

Game For Peace is the Chinese version of PUBG developed by Tencent, which acquired the exclusive right to operate PUBG in China in 2017.

In order to meet China’s restrictions on video games, Tencent almost redeveloped PUBG, and renamed it Game For Peace. Compared with the original PUBG, Game For Peace weakens the cruelty of the picture. The background of the story was changed to a military exercise of the peacekeeping force.
