According to the lunar calendar, this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival will come on October 1. Coincidentally, this day is also the National Day of the People’s Republic of China.
On Sept. 7, 2020, the food brand of the same name founded by Li Ziqi, a well-known Chinese Youtuber, announced that they would start selling a mooncake gift box with the theme of “I Love Tiananmen Square in Beijing”.
This product is jointly played by Tiananmen Cultural and Creative Products Department and Li Ziqi, and its box adopts the slender shape of the Tiananmen Tower. If you open the gift box, you will first see a four-story paper carving of Tiananmen Square, which is of great collection value.
Seven moon cakes are placed on the shelves under the paper carvings, which are made into the shape of ancient Chinese panes. There are also traditional Chinese decorative elements such as Hua Biao, Stone Lion, and Tuan Long on the mooncake box.
It is understood that the mooncake gift box has four flavors, namely, wine-made cranberry flavor, sweet potato black sesame flavor, cream salted egg yolk flavor, Longjing matcha flavor. The price of each box is 350 yuan.
“I Love Tiananmen Square in Beijing” is a patriotic nursery rhyme written in the 1970s. Because of its high singing degree, it can be called the collective memory of the 70s and 80s Chinese people.
Moon cakes are a typical holiday food in China. In modern China, except for a few moon cakes that are bought and eaten by themselves, most of them are used for gifts. Using the theme of “I Love Tiananmen Square in Beijing” to make a moon cake gift box means that it can be used as both a Mid-Autumn Festival gift and a National Day gift.
