On July 5, 2020, the Chinese zero-sugar beverage giant held a press conference to announce the launch of two new flavors of its sparkling water series.
Genki Forest is a Chinese beverage company founded in 2016, whose main business is the production of zero-sugar drinks. Its two most famous series are burning tea and sparkling water.
Today`s two new sparkling water flavors are yogurt and lyme ginger. At present, the series has seven flavors, namely white peach, cucumber, Kaman orange, sour plum soup and grape which went on sale last year, lactic acid bacteria and lime ginger which just went on sale this year.
Genki Forest sparkling water is different form those traditional sugar-free drinks which try to simulate the existing sugary drinks (such as Coke or Fanta) in taste. Instead, its products aime to create a taste that is more suitable for sugar-free drinks. The drink uses erythritol as a sugar substitute and does not contain any calories.

In addition, Bing Qian, chief quality officer of Genki Forest, said at the press conference that the company’s first self-owned factory in Chuzhou, Anhui province, was put into operation on June 22, and the second phase of the process will start in August. At the same time, they are planning to build another factory in Zhaoqing, Guangdong, and are also choosing a site to build a third factory in North China.
The first phase of the Chuzhou factory, which has been achieved, can produce 450 million bottles of beverages per year. Considering the subsequent constructing plans, this shows the rapid growth of Genki Forest.
In addition to burning tea and sparkling water, the company has also entered the market for yogurt and energy drinks this year.
